Here at Musicians 4 Freedom in Denver, we’ve been so excited lately about all the activism that’s goin’ on, we’re holding a weekly Activist Mixer/Potluck featuring local music, art, movies, and…..you guessed it…..activism! From chemtrails to GMO foods; from fluoridated and poisoned tap water to the false left/right paradigm; from the corrupt bankstering cartel aka the Fed to the Green Party; from Voluntaryism to Anarchism to Constitutionalism; from We Are Change and 9/11 Truth to Texe Marrs to Jason Charles’ Wake the Church; from Ron Paul to the Constitution Party; from Young Americans for Liberty to Anti-War – we’re involved in all of it.

While many of our projects are seemingly ‘progressive’ we do not close our minds to ideas that are called ‘conservative’ and ‘conspiratorial’— far from it. How can activists be truly well informed with only half the story? From Alex Jones and Infowars, to Peter Joseph and Zeitgeist; from Gary Franchi and Restore the Republic to David Icke; Jordan Page, Aimee Allen, George Carlin, The Freeman, The Anti-Terrorist, Katherine Albrecht, Willie Nelson, and Greenpeace – we encourage everyone to express their bold and creative ideas so the world can discuss and debate their merit.
From Catherine Bleish to Tracey Harmon. From Gigi Bowman to Cynthia McKinney. From Liberty on Tour, to Freedoms Phoenix, to the Anti-Defamation League, to the Libertarian Party. From Conspiracy Cards to New World Order Report. From Poker Face to David Dees, Neil Hague, and Sonny Kay. We feature obscure musicians, artists, and activists just as often as we feature well-known ones. From Jonathan Horowitz to Max Igan. From Dr. Paul Connett, to Jeffrey M. Smith, Richard Gage, Jordan Maxwell, Michael Tsarion, and on and on, for almost two years now, we’ve been covering the action.
Our first weekly event will be held this week on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Devon Bryant’s brand new Kallitechnis Gallery on 9th Avenue between Kalamath and Santa Fe in downtown Denver, from 7 PM until around 10 PM. The space is smallish, so we’ll probably keep this first event acoustic and quaint. However, as the event grows in popularity, we’ll hold it in a larger space with DJs and Techno taking the event into the late evening. There are many types and sizes of gallery and venue from which to choose in Denver, especially around the Santa Fe art district.
We’ve invited our musician friends, Live Animal, Isaac Schiff, and Voodoo Stingray. Others are invited to bring their instruments for impromptu jamming. We’re also inviting crafting networks, alternative currency exchanges, time sharing and the like to join our networking events. We hope that local bakers and organic food and farming activist groups will join in as well.
Kallitechnis showcases the artwork of Devon Bryant. Devon also features jewelry, sculpture, and art from many other local artists. So, bring your DVDs, you CDs, your business cards, your samples, and let’s network!
